The Svadhishthana Chakra-life chakra

The very important amongst 7 chakra,  The Svadhishthana Chakra marks the second level of our development. The evolution of consciousness towards pure, human consciousness begins in the Svadhishthana Chakra. It is the seat of the subconscious mind where all life experiences and impressions since the beginning of our existence in the womb are stored. The Muladhara Chakra is the storehouse of our Karmas, however these are activated in Svadhishthana Chakra.
Water is a essence of life on earth. It occupied 80% of our body space. Any imbalance in water means turbulence in body system functions at each level. Svadhishthana Chakra is a manifestation of water element in our body. It is a life chakra. It brings life into the world and developed life in the finest sense if it is balanced. Water represent moon in terms of astrology. Moon represents mind and mother. Both are having invaluable importance in any life & core essence of any life existence. Moon provides any foam of mental activity from thought to imagination, which becomes driver to shape the life, according the nature of the thinking. Our thinking defines emotional identity, creativity, desire, pleasure and self-gratification, procreation, and personal relationshipswhich play vital role to lead happy life. If the prana is concentrated in the liquid or "water element" at the svadhishthana chakra when a strong devotional feeling arises, another of the ashta sattvika vikara, called ashru (weeping), can occur. It is said that the tears of devotion are cool and come from the outside corners of the eyes, unlike tears of anger or bitterness which come out of the center of the eyes or the inside corners. Ashru is seen often in ashrams[temple/church etc] where there is a great deal of devotional sentiment; people find themselves spontaneously crying without understanding why.
The animal designated to represent the Svadhishthana Chakra is the Crocodile. It symbolises laziness, insensitivity and the danger that slumbers in this Chakra. Water is soft and pliable, but also an immense power when out of control. This is just how it is with the Svadhishthana Chakra. When negative emotions arise from the subconscious to the conscious state, we can be completely put off balance. When the second chakra becomes blocked for some reason, physical symptoms may manifest themselves in the form of lower back pain and sciatica, pelvic pain, female reproductive disorders, sexual problems, constipation, difficulties with the bladder and kidneys, muscle cramps, decreased libido, pelvic pain, urinary problems, poor digestion, low resistance to infection and viruses, tiredness, hormonal imbalances, menstrual problems, decreased energy, and weight loss, as well as depression and nervousness. It creates Physical Dysfunctions Psychological and Emotional Issues related to irritability, shyness, guilt, blame, sexual obsession, power, money, control, lack of creativity, morality.
Awakening of the Svadhishthana Chakra brings clarity and development of the personality. But before this can happen we must purify our consciousness of negative qualities. In the symbolic picture of the Svadhishthana Chakra is a Lotus with six petals. These represent our negative qualities which are to be overcome - anger, hatred, jealousy, cruelty, desire and pride. Other base qualities that hinder our development are lethargy, fear, doubt, revenge, envy and greed.
He who meditates upon this stainless Lotus, which is ' named Svādhishthāna, is freed immediately from all his enemies such as lust, anger, greed, and so forth.  He becomes a Lord among Yogis, and is like the Sun illumining the darkness of ignorance-.  The wealth of his nectar-like words flows in prose and verse in well reasoned discourse. He who concentrates at this Chakra and meditates on the Devata has no fear of water. He has perfect control over the water element. He gets many psychic powers, intuitional knowledge and a perfect control over his senses, great psychic capacities, genial creative imagination and a perfect mastering over the sexual function and of the senses and easily knows the astral worlds. Imprisoning passions, anger, attachments, vanity, jealousy, and other psychical impurities are easily cast away. Such a person will be young-looking, will have a great regenerative capacity, feeling, desire and sensation. Ideally this Chakra brings us fluidity and grace, depth of feeling, sexual fulfilment, and the ability to accept change. One becomes natural towards feeling compassionate, friendly, intuitive, vital, sexual, satisfied, prosperous, having a sense of belonging and humour. He has full knowledge of the astral entities. Kama, Krodha, Lobha, Moha, Mada, Matsarya and other impure qualities are completely annihilated, and finally overcomes death - The Yogi becomes the conqueror of death – Mrityunjaya [ name of lord shiva] The persons that have predominance in the activation of this chakra are highly impressionable, have an active and fertile imagination, as well as the aptitude of verbalizing their perceptions - which makes them quite suited for guidance and healing because it is  deeply connected with the heart chakra which predominantly ruled with emotions. Emotions are essence of water and manifestation of moon in subtle sense.
self fulfilment is concerned not with self centeredness but with feeling comfortable with oneself, and recognising our desires are just as valid as anyone else's.  Furthermore, one should appreciate that before one can love another one must first learn to love oneself, and before one can do this one must become comfortable with ones inner-self.  Through this Chakra we may well make a further progression towards becoming a more confident being, able to express oneself without fear of rejection. Every choice we make contributes a subtle current of our energy to our Universe, which is responsive to the influence of human consciousness.
Managing the power of choice, with all its creative and spiritual implications, is ~the essence of the human experience~. All spiritual teachings are directed toward inspiring us to recognise that the power to make choices is the dynamic that converts our spirits into matter, our words into flesh. Choice is the process of creation itself. The fact that our choices weave our spirits into events is the reason the major spiritual lessons are formed around one essential lesson: Make your choices wisely because each choice you make is a creative act of spiritual power for which you are held responsible. Further, any choice made from faith has the full power of ~heaven~ behind it - which is why "faith the size of a mustard seed can move a mountain". And any choice made from fear is a violation of the energy of faith.Choice has a mysterious aspect, however for we will never completely know the full outcome of any choice we make. A primal lesson of the second chakra is the paradoxical nature of choice ; what seems right can turn out wrong; what appears good can end up bad. Just when everything is going smoothly, chaos breaks things up..
Paradoxically, while the energy of the second chakra inclines us to try to control our lives, the lesson of the second chakra is that we cannot be in control. We are physical beings and energy beings, but since the physical world cannot be controlled, the task before us is to master our inner responses to the external world, our thoughts and emotions.
Nevertheless, we all struggle in a seemingly never ending cycle of disappointments in which we attempt to control our lives. We search endlessly for the one grand choice that will put everything in our lives into permanent order. Is that choice the right career? The right marriage partner? The right geographic location? In seeking this right choice constantly, we give form to our fear of the changing rhythm that is life itself. In looking for this single person or thing that will forever bring us peace, stability, love and health, we dismiss the more authentic power that lies behind our eyes. The challenge of the second chakra is to learn what motivates us to make the choices we do. In learning about our motivations, we learn about the content of our spirits. Are you filled with fear, or are you filled with faith? Every choice we make contains the energy of either positive or negative, and the outcome of every decision reflects to some extent that positive or negative. This dynamic of choice guarantees that we cannot run away from ourselves or our decisions.

In spiritual perspective every relationship we develop, from the most casual to the most intimate, serves the purpose of helping us to become more conscious. Some relationships are necessarily painful because learning about ourselves and facing our own limitations are not things we tend to do with enthusiasm. We often need to be spiritually find for such encounters and learn to Honour One Another. The physical energies of the second Chakra symbolise that all relationships are essentially spiritual messengers. They bring into our lives, and we into theirs, revelations about our own strengths and weaknesses. From relationships within the home to those at work to community or apolitical activity, no union is without spiritual value; each helps us to grow as individuals. We can more easily see the symbolic value of our relationship when we release our compulsion to judge what and who has value and instead focus on honouring the person and the task with which we are involved. As The second chakra’s energy has an inherent duality. The unified energy of the first chakra, represented by the tribal mind, becomes divided into polarities in the second chakra. This division of forces has been given many names; yin/yang, anima/animus, male/female. Sun/moon. Understanding the significance of these opposites is the key to working with second chakra issues. These dual energies ensure that we attract to ourselves relationships that help us come to know ourselves. In a simple word it is when the student is ready the teacher will appear acknowledge that an energy working behind the scenes seems to organise when and where we meet people - and always at the right time. The spiritual challenge of the second chakra is to learn to interact consciously with others to form unions with people who support our developments and to release relationships that handicap our growth.
Svadhisthana represents the experience of life itself. To do this, it is required that we live in the present state of awareness, and not in the mind of many conscious and subconscious thoughts. Svadhisthana itself is controlled by the subtle or subconscious mind and ruled with emotion. It is closely related to Muladhara where the different samskaras (potential karmas) lie dormant, yet Svadhisthana is where these samskaras find expression. In addition to unconscious desires, Svadhisthana is also especially concerned with sexual desire.
The two lower chakras – Muladhara and Svadhisthana – are about our instincts. One of the prime reasons for yoga is to rise above this lower nature and control our desires.
The Divinity of this Chakra is Brahma the Creator and Sarasvati, the Goddess of wisdom and fine arts. The colour of Svadhishthana is orange, the colour of the sunrise, which is symbolic of the rising consciousness. Orange is the colour of activity and purity. It indicates the positive qualities that unfold in this Chakra such as joy, faith, self-confidence and energy.
