Secret science of moon & yoga

The Sun rules our soul &

The Moon rules our mind.

These two planets cause the lunar phases to run the wheel of time – kaal charka.  Moon plays deeper role in our lives by its spiritual and cosmic significance due to phases of the moon. Moon has 2 Phases - waning & waxing moon.

The Moon has 16 kalas/phases. kalas of moon means [first moon day, second moon day till full moon day & each kala has one ruling goddess – which called nitya]. Out of these 15 are visible to earth life and the 16th is beyond our visibility.

The first one, Maha Tripura Sundari - the  Para Shakti is not visible to the normal mortals. These 15 kala/Nityas  in the form of the 15 Tithis [days]  have two aspects each – Prakashamsa - which rules the day portion  and Vimarshamsa - which rules the night part of the day. At night they collect the divine nectar and during the day they release it. [ many people like to work in night because of this nectar flow]

On full moon day all the 15 Nityas [goddess] are in the moon and the moon is shining brightly. On the 1st day after the full moon, one Nityas [goddess] leaves the moon and goes to the sun and the moon is reduced slightly in size. On the next moon day another Nitya leaves the moon and goes to the sun and the moon is further reduced in size. This way they leave one by one till the moon becomes totally dark on the 15th day, which is called Amavasya- This is known as Krishna Paksha or the waxing phase of moon. After Amavasya[No moon night]  all nityas return back to moon one by one -  that makes moon  shining again. This is called Shukla Paksha. Waning phase of moon

this everyday moon process has tremendous effect on any living life on earth as it directly connected with our subtle/enteric body – which endlessly produce emotions and thoughts based on moon position in birth chart. This process starts from the moment we born on earth. In Yoga & meditation it has great importance because it is connected with our breathing – sun & moon breathing channel. Right and left nostril.  Our breathing produces energy with each breath & circulates through the 72,000 subtle vains [nadis] – which endlessly supply this bio-energy to our existence. That’s why you see many pranyama methods in yoga to clean and balance the prana. Prana means breath – shakti to live everyday life.  Let’s understand this beautiful science of breath, nadis, nityas and subtle energy flow in human body.

30-days in lunar month.

30 days X 12 months = 360 days

360 days X 2 (the day and night aspects of the Nityas)= 720 Nityas in a year.

Each Nitya rules 100 Nadis in our body. This way they rule the 72000 Nadis in our body. This way, nityas rule the days, the night, months, seasons and years – endlessly influencing moods, emotions and physical state in human lives.

Each of the Nityas has a certain number of arms – arms means ray of light, the totality of arms of the whole circle being 108. Each of the fifteen Nityas thus has 1,440 breaths. The full circle of the Nityas also represents the 21,600 breaths a human being takes in a full day and night.

This is how Nityas formed Wheel of Time - kaalchakra.  Nityas are act as measuring phenomenon between space & time in form of divinity.

Fasting on certain days as such 4th, 8th or 15th moon day etc hold significance and helps to cleans our sublte body. it is directly connected with moon phase. It purifies nadi structure of etheric body. every religion consider fasting is a tool to cleans body, mind and soul.
